Testing Options at HHC – Dr Wendy Davis ND

Testing Options at HHC

At Harmony Health Clinic, we believe that understanding the root cause of your health concerns is the key to true healing. Naturopathic testing plays a vital role in helping us uncover imbalances, deficiencies, sensitivities, and deeper underlying issues that may not always be visible through symptoms alone. By using a range of functional and diagnostic tests, we can gain valuable insight into your body’s unique needs — allowing Dr. Wendy to create a targeted, effective treatment plan that supports your long-term health and well-being.

Below you’ll find information on the various tests available through the clinic. These tests are not available to order online and must be requested through the clinic directly. If you have questions or would like to explore whether a specific test is right for you, please contact our team — we’re happy to help!

PLEASE NOTE:

Once your test results are received, they will be uploaded to your chart and you will receive a phone call from the clinic to schedule a follow-up consultation.

***We will not send results via email until your follow-up appointment is booked.

📧 After your appointment is scheduled, we’ll email your results to both you and your ND. (Please remember to check your junk folder, just in case!)

Why the follow-up matters:

It’s the responsibility of your Naturopathic Doctor to not only review your test results but also to interpret them in the context of your symptoms, health history, and goals. This is where real healing starts — understanding the data and making an actionable plan. Skipping this step can lead to misunderstandings or missed opportunities for care.

This updated process helps us ensure no results are missed, communication is clear, and you receive the proper support to understand and act on your results. Thank you for your understanding!

Please feel free to call Harmony Health Clinic at 306-224-0012 to request consult prices prior to purchasing a test (if preferred).*

Comprehensive Urine Elements

(Heavy Metal Testing)

The Comprehensive Urine Elements Profile is a toxic exposure test which measures urinary excretion of 15 nutrient elements and 20 toxic metals. These include classic toxins such as lead, mercury, and arsenic, as well as newer technology toxins such as niobium. This is an ideal toxic exposure test for patients suspected of toxic metal exposure as well as potential nutrient mineral wasting.

DUTCH (Complete Hormone Test)

The DUTCH Complete is our flagship test and takes hormone testing to a whole new level. This test looks at sex hormones and their metabolites, the overall diurnal pattern of free cortisol, and the total distribution of cortisol metabolites in addition to OATs, which provide insight into nutritional deficiencies, oxidative stress, gut dysbiosis, melatonin, neuroinflammation, and more.

Healthcare providers can use this valuable tool to optimize hormone health and address hormone-related symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, and mood swings.

Easier Collection: Patients collect just four or five dried urine samples over a 24-hour period. Dried samples are stable for several weeks making them convenient to ship worldwide.

Comprehensive Report: DUTCH offers the most extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones along with their metabolites. Our comprehensive report gives providers actionable results so they can develop more effective treatment plans.

Backed by Research: We pride ourselves in relentlessly pursuing the most accurate and precise techniques available for testing. Click here to see our latest published research to support the analytical and clinical validation of this powerful new testing model.

Effective HRT Monitoring: Our testing methodology allows us to effectively monitor for most forms of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Food Sensitivity Test -

RMA Food Sensitivity Test (IgG 120 FST):

Food sensitivity is not a disease but may play a role in causing disease or worsening certain symptoms. Symptoms associated with food sensitivities develop slowly over time and can create inflammation. The RMA FST™ IgG Food Sensitivity Test can help identify potential food sensitivities and take the guess work out of your diet.

There is a growing body of evidence to support the clinical benefits of eliminating IgG reactive foods from the diet.

In an IgG reaction, the IgG antibodies bind to food antigens creating antibody-antigen complexes. These complexes are normally removed by immune system cells called macrophages. However, if complexes are present in large numbers and the reactive food is still being consumed, the macrophages can’t remove them quickly enough. The food antigen-antibody complexes accumulate and can be deposited in body tissues. Once in tissues, these complexes can trigger inflammation, which may be responsible for a wide variety of symptoms.

This test panel reports on 125 foods, including the most common food sensitivities in all categories: milk (cow, goat and sheep), eggs, corn and wheat.

IgE Allergy Explorer™:

IgE Allergy Explorer™ is a comprehensive blood test measuring IgE antibodies to a plethora of foods and environmental allergens.

The IgE Allergy Explorer tests over 150 allergens at the extract and component level, making it the most extensive and affordable functional medicine allergy test available. Plus, the entire panel is a simple at-home collection using just a few drops of blood.

What is Immunoglobulin E (IgE)?

IgE is a class of human immunoglobulins or antibodies. In healthy individuals, the function of IgE is to fight parasitic infections. IgE antibodies are misdirected in allergic individuals to fight harmless substances like pollen, mite particles, or common foods. Elevated IgE antibodies are necessary for allergies (immediate, Type 1 immune responses) to occur.

Blood Testing for Allergy Using IgE Allergy Explorer

IgE Food Explorer is an allergy blood test (also referred to as a specific IgE test). It measures the concentration of specific IgE antibodies in the blood to different antigens, including foods, pollens, mites, insect venom, and more. The detection of IgE indicates SENSITIZATION to a specific allergen.

It is important to understand that being IgE sensitized and having positive IgE antibodies does not guarantee a clinical response. Many people with a positive test (who are sensitized) may be asymptomatic with exposure to that allergen.

IgE Allergy Explorer needs to be interpreted by the ordering provider in context with patient’s medical history and presenting symptoms. According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, “A key message is that a positive allergy test result indicates only the presence of allergen-specific IgE sensitization. It does not necessarily mean clinical allergy (i.e., allergic symptoms with exposure). Therefore, test results should always be viewed in the context of overall clinical picture.

The IgG Food Explorer™:

The IgG Food Explorer™ by Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory is an Elisa-based multiplex food sensitivity test measuring total IgG antibodies to an overabundance of foods.

IgG Food Explorer evaluates over 250 food antigens using a simple at-home collection. Results help practitioners personalize diet and lifestyle guidance for their patients to reduce and eliminate symptoms related to adverse food reactions.

Using a simple finger-stick blood collection, the IgG Food Explorer is a convenient collection that offers impactful insight into symptoms caused by foods.

Testing allows practitioners to tie patient symptoms directly back to adverse reactions to foods. Food sensitivities can then be addressed through diet to help resolve symptoms and optimize health.

What are Food Sensitivities?

Food sensitivities are an adverse immune system response to ordinarily harmless foods. These food sensitivities are highly individualized, and symptoms are subtle and often delayed. Adverse reactions can occur from 3 to 72 hours after ingesting the offending food.

Why Test for Food Sensitivities?

Elevated IgG antibodies can promote systemic (whole-body) inflammation, leading to a variety of unwanted symptoms.

IgG Food Explorer tests immunoglobulin (IgG) antibodies to a variety of common foods. This extensive food sensitivity test can help practitioners pinpoint which foods may be driving symptoms and best prioritize and individualize a diet and lifestyle plan for patients.

Usually, eliminating foods that promote an IgG antibody response can reduce stress on the immune system, lower whole-body inflammation, and help heal the gut. An antibody-guided elimination diet is more reliable and preferable than generalized diet plans or exclusion diets based on food journaling and diet history alone.

IgG Food Explorer provides in-depth insight into adverse food reactions and the symptoms they create.

The IgG Food Explorer™ &

IgE Allergy Explorer™ Combined

This option combines both tests for Food & Allergy tests in one convenient test!

OMX - Organic Metabolomics

An Advanced Organic Acids and Amino Acids Profile

Urine & Blood Test.

evaluates patterns of metabolites, also called your Metabolic Signature.

It gives insight into biological systems and may identify early disease status, nutrient insufficiencies or excess, lifestyle patterns, toxic exposures, and genetic individuality. Essentially, will tell you what you are deficient in.

Metabolomics identifies metabolic pathway dysfunctions that aid clinicians targeting precision interventions at earlier stages, resulting in more effective treatments toward better health. Standard disease diagnosis primarily identifies the latest stage of frank disease.

Metabolic evaluation utilizes a systems biology approach that focuses on your individual picture, helping you gain a better understanding of how you function and your individual Metabolic Signature.

Metabolites are impacted by many factors and can change in response to diet, nutrient status, toxin exposures, exercise, physiologic demands, genetics, gut microbiome alterations, or disease stage.

Results in approximately 3 weeks from when shipped
